Youth Development Academy Registration open now!

Our youth Development Academy is for the youth player that wants to prepare for the competitive pathway. Our Youth Development Academy Players are selected based on their commitment, attitude and effort. Players are developed to be confident, creative and coachable. Focus is placed on individual development. Players will play all positions and receive equal playing time for equal commitment. While the focus on games will not be winning, we do want to try in every game to score more goals than the other team. We will try to score more goals than the other team by focusing on the technical and tactical basics that we are learning in the training environment. Our focus is on mastering the basics, the wins will follow.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• At least two training sessions with Academy group per week during league
• Competitive atmosphere with no/limited travel outside of Spokane
• Professional Training with Youth Academy Director and Academy staff
• Preparation for FC Spokane select/premier programs
• Paid Staff for the Premier Prep Teams

PLAYER EXPECTATIONS

• Practice 7-8 months out of the year (one day a week in the summer, 2 days a week in the spring and fall, 1 day a week in the winter)
• Attend two practices a week during league (fall & spring)
• Train and play to the best of his/her ability

What Separates our program from the rest?

Our academy staff has over 50 years of combined experience in coaching youth players. Many of our YDA staff are USSF Licensed coaches and all of our staff is working toward USSF licensing. We have seen clubs largely ignore the early development years and focus on U10 and above. We want to be different. Players between 6-9 years old are very intelligent and anxious to learn. We focus on the fundamentals of soccer (dribbling, passing, body movement, coordination, running, jumping, etc.) Building a solid foundation for these young athletes to move into our premier pathway. We don't want to be the cheapest program in town, we want to be the best program in town! We invest in our coaches, and we invest in your kids!
