Spokane Soundrers Tryouts and Open Trainings Announced

Spokane Sounders Tryouts

Spokane Sounders is excited to announce boys 2000, 1999 and 1998 tryouts to be held on February 24 and 25.

All tryout dates are set by Washington Youth Soccer. Boys 2000, 1999 and 1998 tryouts will occur before high school soccer season, as per WYS rules, while boys from 2001 down, as well as all girls tryouts, will occur in May.

B00 — Wednesday, February 24th — Spokane Falls CC — 5:00-7:00 pm
B98-99 — Thursday, February 25th — Spokane Falls CC — 5:00-7:00 pm

The B98/99 A and B teams will be coached by current Shadow First Team Coach Chad Brown, a former Seattle Sounders player who holds his USSF ‘A’ License.

The B00 A team will be coached by current FC Spokane Director of Coaching Jay Vela, a former Central Valley High School and Spokane Falls CC standout performer.

The B00 B team will be coached by Jesse Dunbar, a FC Spokane coach, who is a former CVHS and Adams State University standout where he is currently number two in points-per-game all-time.

Open Training Sessions

There will also be open training sessions during the week of February 15th for players from SSC Shadow, FC Spokane and other area clubs, who are interested in being a part of the program for the 2016-17 season. Informational Meeting

There will be an informational meeting for all interested players and families on February 22, during which SSC Shadow and FC Spokane technical staff will speak to the parents and answer questions about the Spokane Sounders, the transition to birth year registration, and the vision to move forward. The time and location are TBD.
